Taking advantage of the Memorial Day holiday and some gorgeous weather, our Young Adults from Berkeley, SF, and ISM got together at Marin's beautiful Stafford Lake for delicious BBQ, sports, and some unconventional games. And as we do every year, we took this opportunity to welcome our newest Young Adults - the recent college grads.

An hour's drive or MRT (Taiwanese BART) away from Taipei, the city of Danshui is a popular destination for native Taiwanese to visit, with well-preserved historical neighborhoods and a beautiful coastline view. It is also home to Tamkang University, where our Danshui team held a Gospelfest.

Grad school. The first job. Or an extra semester - maybe two! Whatever the next weeks and months hold, we know that our graduating seniors will never be the same, as they close the door on one chapter of their lives and embark on a new. We took the opportunity during Graduation Sunday to pray for them as a congregation, hear them sing a special song, and begin our new 3-week message series called Pause.

May 6, 2006One Day Retreat with Pastor Hong
On May 6th, Pastor Peter Hong - a retired missionary to the Philippines, Vietnam, and recently un-retired for new mission work in Cambodia - shared with us his simple yet clear testimony and charge to all Christians for mission work, whether abroad or at home. Many were stirred, perturbed, and blessed by his and Pastor John Lee's messages and sharing of stories from the mission field.

On Easter Sunday we celebrated the day of Jesus' resurrection, and at the baptism service that evening, we witnessed 42 brothers and sisters make a public declaration to follow Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
