Jan 5, 20072007 Young Adult Retreat
Three days of clear skies, fresh air, and beautiful redwood forest set the stage for 2007's Young Adult retreat, held at Mt. Hermon Conference Center in the Santa Cruz mountains. Post-graduate members of Gracepoint Fellowship (Berkeley), Waypoint Community (Davis), and Bridgeway (Silicon Valley) churches started off the new year with messages from Pastor Ed that explored God's promise to Abraham as well as Jesus' parables, leading to fresh realizations and renewing of old commitments at this start of a new year.

The Element youth sponsored a Christmas Party for our Impact children on Sunday morning (12/24). We had a delicious breakfast with bagels and hot chocolate, and made some snowman muffins, and even had Santa visit!

Dec 17, 2006Joyland Christmas Celebration 2006
After months of script-writing, prop-making, costume-sewing, and drama-coaching, our Joyland and Impact children were ready to take the stage for Joyland Christmas Celebration! This year was particularly special as we had Impact joining us for the first time. The children sang, acted, and danced their hearts out as they shared the story of Jesus' birth, buoyed by the expectant energy of the 500+ crowd of parents, relatives, and friends. Much laughter and applause (as well as a few tears) ensued the whole night, and as everyone got to see the precious news of God's greatest gift expressed on the stage, the magic of Christmas truly came to life and touched many hearts.

Dec 3, 2006North Loop Building Dedication
On Saturday, Dec. 2nd, the doors to our new building at 2000 North Loop in Alameda opened its doors, and welcomed its first throng of people, the first of hopefully very many to come. Pastor Ed shared his vision for this building to be a place where the Gospel would be lived out and shared with many others, and each Gracepoint member there that morning responded to the call to be light and salt with song and prayer, committing to be good stewards, of one heart and purpose, over this new building.

As the place where so many of us have experienced God's grace,
Gracepoint Fellowship Church launched into this new chapter of faith amidst much celebration, food, worship, and joy, coupled with an aptly timed baptism ceremony.
Ministry booths,
cotton candy, a Joyland Festival preview, and a stirring remembrance of God's transforming faithfulness among the brothers and sisters
here at this church brought all of us to tears, singing songs of
gratitude, and stirred us again to whole-hearted commitments to
connect ourselves and our church with God.
