Genesis 3:6. "the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom..." The lusts of our eyes and of our hearts seem to do the same thing, attributing qualities upon the object of desire that that object has no way of fulfilling. For example, ads are excellent at getting us to see their products this way. We need to stop feeding the fire of the lusts of our eyes, and shut down certain paths of input we've allowed over the years. And we need be people of depth, character, heart... which is what interests our God.
