Such a contrast between the responses to Jesus healing by the invalid in John 5 and the blind man in John 9. One walks away untouched by the mercy he receives, the other returns to Jesus in gratitude and worship. John 9 also depicts "truth-haters" in the characters surrounding the blind man's healing: the disciples, the neighbors, the Pharisees, the parents. Each come with their warped perspectives toward the work of God before them. May we have the humility to see the life-changing truths of God in our own lives.
