In Matthew 9 and 10, Jesus shares his view concerning the world and its crowds: harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. We're invited to consider if our own hearts share in the same plight. Jesus goes on to say that the situation is ripe for God's workers to enter the harvest field, but the workers are few! And so, having shared his heart with us, and recognizing that his heart is our calling, Jesus sends his disciples. It's a calling that reflects God's own heart.
