Element and Joyland Teaching Sign up

Hello,
Element and Joyland both have teaching needs this Fall semester that we thought college students would enjoy volunteering for.

For Element:
For the past 2 years, we've been doing a once-a-month curriculum that we developed in-house called "Element Bible Institute". Each grade (from 7th-12th) has a set teaching topic/curriculum which covers 8 sessions (the entire academic year).

Volunteer teacher would be responsible for taking the existing lesson and teaching from it for the session(s) that you sign up. Class time will be approx 1 hr. EBI happens on typically the 3rd Saturday from 7-9pm.

Pre-requisites: Christian, regular member, attend prayer meetings, approval by small group leader.

Here's the overall topics by grade:
7th - Creation
8th - Human Predicament
9th - Salvation
10th - Christian LIving
11th - Church
12th - Morals/Ethics

Please contact Elise Koo (510-418-4446; elise.koo@gpmail.org) with any questions.

For Joyland:
We would like to ask College SMALL GROUPS to take one weekend of preparing/delivering Joyland Sunday messages. During November and December, Joyland teachers are very busy preparing for our annual Joyland Christmas Celebration.

You will be asked to prepare a 30 min. message and you can use either a skit, video or any other elements to enhance the message. I will be giving you the topic, the lesson of the message and the passage to work with, but your group will be crafting the message and delivering it as well. If you and your group can work together, it would be a wonderful team bonding experience.

SIGN UPS SHOULD BE BY SMALL GROUP LEADER.
Thank you.
Michelle
