30 Hour FAmine

HOW DO I GET STARTED RAISING DONATIONS FOR THIS YEAR'S EVENT?

Here's a great tip, and a great goal to set for yourself: $30 feeds and cares for a child for a month. Try to see if you can raise enough to feed a child for a year! All you have to do is ask 12 people to sponsor you for the 30 hours ($1 for each hour). If they do, then twelve people will have each given you $30, which means you'll have raised $360, enough to feed and provide basic care to a child for a whole year! Then try to feed TWO children for a year!

WHERE ARE FAMINE FUNDS USED BY WORLD VISION?

Money raised by the 30 Hour Famine is used in projects all over the world. Countries like Uganda, Malawi, Sri Lanka, Niger, Guatemala, and many more, either already have, currently do, or will be receiving funds from World Vision through the 30 Hour Famine. A small percentage, not more than 15%, may be used here in the U.S. for World Vision's domestic work as well.http://domino-201.worldvision.org/worldvision/comms2.nsf/stable/ar?Open&lid=sitemap_annualreport&lpos=sitemapshapeimage_4_link_0
